As an Intermediate Life Underwriter, you will independently classify risks across medical, financial, occupational, travel, and lifestyle information. You will work with National Accounts, Managing General Agencies, and Traditional Producers. The position supports transparent decisions, practical solutions, and customer-focused service.
Key Responsibilities: Assess and classify life insurance risks within assigned authority
Evaluate complex cases, including moderate impairments
Document decisions and refer cases beyond authority
Manage workload, quality, productivity, and service expectations




Explain requirements and decisions to advisors and partners
Requirements: Life underwriting experience with minimum $1M signing authority
Medical risk assessment and insurance terminology knowledge
Financial and non-medical risk underwriting knowledge
Strong analytical, critical-thinking, and problem-solving skills
Clear communication and comfort with underwriting systems
