The Asset Protection Specialist prevents and investigates external and internal theft and fraud. This store-based position uses available tools, supports Asset Protection processes, and aligns actions with store objectives. You will communicate with leadership, associates, law enforcement, and court representatives while documenting incidents and preserving evidence.
Key Responsibilities: Conduct safe, nonphysical shoplifting apprehensions within laws and policies
Inspect store security and address discrepancies with leadership
Document incidents and preserve evidence for legal requirements




Coordinate with law enforcement and court representatives
Maintain communication with leaders, associates, and store teams
Requirements: At least one year of investigations, loss prevention, security, or related studies
High School Diploma or GED
Familiarity with retail operations and shrink prevention
Strong analytical, verbal, and report writing abilities
Ability to complete required training and certifications
Bring investigative judgment, explicit reporting, and loss prevention knowledge to protect customers, associates, and The Home Depot assets.
