Support students through academic practice, behavioral guidance, and personal care as a Replacement Education Assistant 2 working 27.5 hours.
Reporting to the principal, this Education Assistant 2 supports individual students and small groups under teacher direction. Duties follow individualized education plans across academic, behavioral, health, communication, and life-skill needs. The position also supports supervision, records observations, and school activities.
Key Responsibilities: Assist students with academic and behavioral drill activities
Provide hygiene, toileting, feeding, positioning, and transferring support
Monitor students during recess, lunch, and school transitions
Record observations, score assignments, and maintain appropriate records
Administer assigned medication and report safety concerns
Requirements: Grade twelve education
Six related college or university level courses
One year of related experience with children or youth
Ability to follow individualized education plans and medication directions
Ability to lift, transfer, and assist students
