Support K-12 learners with diverse abilities as an Education Assistant at School District 71, working Monday through Friday across Comox Valley schools.
This temporary Education Assistant position supports individual students and groups in elementary and secondary settings. You will assist classroom, behaviour resource, and learning support teachers with instructional, personal care, and behaviour management tasks. Assignments may include LifeSkills, Prep Program, ENTER, swim programs, and field trips.
Key Responsibilities: Support students in classrooms and varied school settings
Implement Individual Education and Behaviour Support Plans
Carry out personal and health care routines
Collect observations and participate in student-specific training




Facilitate inclusion in class and school activities
Requirements: Grade 12 education and Human Services Worker certificate
Two years recent experience supporting students with diverse abilities
Coursework in behaviour strategies, CPI, autism, or communication systems
CPR-AED Level C and Food Protected Level 1 certifications
Ability to lift, bend, push, and pull up to 50 pounds
