This internship supports multidisciplinary roadway, transit, rail, and bridge projects. You will work with experienced practitioners, clients, and communities while developing practical engineering experience. The position suits students enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s Civil Engineering program.
Key Responsibilities: Perform geometric design and 3D modeling with guidance
Develop design plans and technical specifications
Prepare quantity estimates, reports, and technical studies
Coordinate structural, geotechnical, stormwater, and streetlighting integration
Assist with project coordination, field work, and proposals
Requirements: Currently enrolled in Civil Engineering studies
Basic understanding of general civil design concepts
AutoCAD or Synchro knowledge considered an asset
Microsoft Office proficiency, including Word and Excel
Solid communication, accuracy, and teamwork skills
Build transportation engineering experience through geometric design, technical studies, and interdisciplinary coordination with Stantec’s northern teams.
