Support women, children, and youth affected by violence as a Child Witness Worker with TAWC in Timmins, Ontario. Deliver trauma-informed services and crisis intervention.
This contract position supports Timmins and Area Women in Crisis, a feminist organization addressing intimate partner abuse and sexual violence. You will provide individual and group support, advocacy, referrals, and programming for women and children who have witnessed or experienced violence. The work reflects feminist, anti-racism, and anti-oppression principles.
Key Responsibilities: Coordinate specialized trauma-informed individual and group support
Provide one-on-one crisis intervention during shelter intake
Develop support plans addressing children's needs




Advocate for women and children as required
Link clients with appropriate community partners
Requirements: Relevant post-secondary degree or diploma
Experience supporting survivors of sexual violence
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Valid Class G licence and reliable insured vehicle
Adaptable availability and ability to lift or carry
Bring crisis intervention, advocacy, and trauma-informed support skills to women, children, and youth served by TAWC.
