As Team Lead or Manager, Surety, you will coach underwriters, guide performance, and collaborate across functions. You will manage broker accounts, support complex negotiations, and maintain a profitable book aligned with appetite and authority. The position requires strategic execution, communication, and sound judgment.
Key Responsibilities: Coach underwriters through guidance, file reviews, feedback, and training plans
Lead meetings, communicate priorities, and monitor department business plans
Manage performance reviews and career development discussions
Own broker relationships, account planning,



and pipeline reviews
Authorize complex business, renewals, endorsements, and exceptions
Requirements: Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
Eight to ten years of relevant Contract Surety experience
One to two years of supervisory experience preferred
Strategic direction, communication, and relationship-building abilities
Integrity, accountability, adaptability, and willingness to travel
