Lead major gifts and donor strategy at Surrey Place, strengthening philanthropy through relationship building and revenue growth. This leadership position is based in Toronto.
Reporting to the Vice President, Business Development and Partnerships, the Director, Philanthropy owns the Surrey Place Foundation mandate. The position leads major and planned gifts, annual giving, donor stewardship, and philanthropic growth. It shapes Foundation strategy while supporting meaningful impact across communities served.
Key Responsibilities: Build and manage major gift donor and prospect portfolios
Lead annual, major, planned giving, and stewardship programs
Develop tailored cultivation and solicitation plans
Report donor trends and growth opportunities to executives and Board




Oversee Foundation budgets, forecasting, and financial risk identification
Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in fundraising or related field
Eight or more years of progressive fundraising experience
Success securing meaningful individual and six-figure gifts
Experience building programs and working with Boards
Advanced Microsoft Office and donor management software experience
Bring major gift development, donor stewardship, and strategic leadership to Surrey Place’s Foundation and philanthropic mission.
