Deliver therapy support at St Paul’s Hospital through exercise programs, range-of-motion activities, and mobility training. This onsite Vancouver position has rotating, variable hours.
As a Rehabilitation Assistant with Providence Health Care, you will contribute to acute and long-term care services. You will plan activities with therapists, demonstrate techniques, and support patients’ and residents’ rehabilitation goals. The work includes therapeutic, recreational, and social programming.
Key Responsibilities: Plan group and individual activities with therapists
Use range-of-motion exercises and mental aerobics
Demonstrate activity techniques to team members
Coordinate and supervise protected patient outings
Fabricate adaptive devices under therapist guidance
Requirements: Grade 12 or completed Rehabilitation Assistant Program
Ability to teach, demonstrate, and instruct
Ability to organize work effectively
Ability to operate related equipment
Deal effectively with patients, families, and staff
Apply rehabilitation techniques, activity planning, and therapeutic support while contributing to patient and resident well-being at St Paul’s Hospital.
