This full-time position supports regional news across Nova Scotia and Thunder Bay. The successful candidate brings social media expertise, multimedia news gathering, and strong interviewing, writing, and editing skills. Work may be based at Surge 105 or Hot Country 103.5.
Key Responsibilities: Generate daily news stories for radio and digital audiences
Anchor morning and noon newscasts across assigned markets
Work collaboratively with news professionals on coverage
Provide backup writing and anchoring as required
Participate in rotational weekend on-call coverage
Requirements: Three to five years of radio anchoring experience
Ability to meet tight newsroom deadlines
Solid interviewing, writing, and editing skills
Flexibility during changing priorities and breaking news
Burli and Wordpress experience considered an asset
