This Senior Software Developer joins Smile Labs within the Product Department, developing AI strategy and components for customer-specific requirements. The role combines architecture, coding, prototyping, and technical guidance across an Agile delivery model with two-week sprints. Your contributions build on Smile’s FHIR-based data liberation platform.
Key Responsibilities: Design architectures, approaches, milestones, and project solutions
Implement AI/ML components with the development team
Prototype emerging technologies and configure external components
Review code through pairing and cooperative analysis




Coach teams around priorities, deadlines, backlogs, and functionality
Requirements: Proven end-to-end architecture experience for complex software projects
Six or more years in architecture, full-stack development, or AI engineering
Knowledge of MCP, model ensembles, and fine-tuning techniques
Experience with Neo4j or other knowledge graph databases
Experience mentoring developers and brainstorming technical architectures
