This senior role connects supply chain, engineering, and manufacturing priorities. You will lead Phase-In Phase-Out execution, material transitions, and risk management. The work supports cost reduction, supply continuity, quality improvement, product retirement, and new product introduction.
Key Responsibilities: Lead PIPO execution with external manufacturing partners
Drive material transitions for product and cost objectives
Optimize timing, risk management, and excess prevention
Provide constraint visibility to engineering and R&D; forums
Execute last-time-buy strategies and rework initiatives
Requirements: 10+ years in materials, procurement, NPI, or engineering
Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, operations, business, or engineering
Cross-functional leadership experience with EMS partners
Solid scenario modeling and what-if analysis skills
Deep MRP and ERP systems understanding
Apply materials planning, analytical modeling, and stakeholder influence to strengthen Ciena’s product supply strategy and competitiveness.
