Role Overview
Our Client is growing its mobile engineering team and is looking for experienced Senior React Native Developers to support multiple mobile initiatives across existing and greenfield applications.

This is a hands-on mobile development role . The majority of development will be completed using React Native and Expo , with a smaller portion requiring interaction with the native iOS/Android layers for troubleshooting, integrations, and platform-specific functionality.

Candidates must have meaningful, recent production experience with React Native . This is not intended for primarily web-based React developers who have had limited exposure to React Native.

Developers will work within Agile squads alongside Product, Design, QA, and Engineering teams, taking features from requirements and Figma designs through development, testing, and implementation.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, test, and maintain production mobile applications using React Native and Expo

Build new mobile features from requirements, specifications, and Figma designs

Work within Agile squads alongside Product, Design, QA, and other engineers

Own features through the full development lifecycle from requirements through implementation and QA

Integrate mobile applications with REST APIs

Troubleshoot issues across React Native and, when required, the underlying native iOS/Android layers

Work with Swift/iOS development when functionality requires native implementation

Apply established native mobile development patterns and best practices within React Native applications

Develop automated unit/component tests using Jest and React Native testing libraries

Participate in code reviews, technical design discussions, security reviews, and engineering standards

Support both existing applications and recent greenfield mobile development

Contribute to CI/CD and mobile release processes using EAS Build/EAS Update, Jenkins, and GitHub Actions





Leverage GitHub Copilot and AI-assisted development tools throughout the engineering workflow

Participate in the team's move toward spec-driven development , using specifications from requirements through implementation and QA

Work with emerging AI-enabled engineering workflows, including Figma MCP integrations and Spec Kit

Must-Have Skills

Experience working with modern/recent versions of React Native

Strong hands-on experience with Expo

Experience working within Agile development squads

Ability to take Figma designs and independently translate them into production-ready mobile features

Solid troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with Product, Design, QA, and Engineering teams

Strong Assets / Nice to Have

Experience troubleshooting React Native issues within native mobile layers

Experience with EAS Build and EAS Update

Experience with Zustand and/or TanStack

Experience with Expo-based navigation

Experience with Jenkins and GitHub Actions

Experience with GitHub Copilot or other AI-assisted development tools

Exposure to spec-driven development

Experience developing applications within banking, financial services, or other highly regulated environments
