This Staff Software Engineer develops imaging applications for complex electro-optical-mechanical systems. The position contributes across requirements, prototyping, integration, verification, production, and recent product introduction. You will work with hardware teams on architecture and support imaging system testing.
Key Responsibilities: Specify, simulate, test, and verify imaging systems
Develop image enhancement, filtering, detection, and discrimination algorithms
Integrate and maintain embedded Linux platforms and software
Develop applications in C++ and Python




Collaborate through requirements, prototyping, integration, and production
Requirements: Degree in computer science, mathematics, or related engineering discipline
Five-plus years of C/C++ and Python software development
Three-plus years developing embedded real-time C/C++ systems
Three-plus years in embedded imaging and machine vision
Strong image processing knowledge through education and experience
Bring machine vision, image processing, and embedded development experience to VIAVI Solutions’ optical test and measurement systems.
