Reporting to the Manager, Portfolio Management, this Manager assesses, understands, and mitigates business risks. The work spans policy placement, acquisition due diligence, claims review, and risk and insurance strategy. You will apply Property and Casualty Insurance knowledge, risk management concepts, and analytical skills while collaborating with insurers, portfolio companies, subsidiaries, brokers, and senior leaders. The setting requires detail orientation, interpersonal skills, and comfort with ambiguity.
Key Responsibilities: Support acquisition due diligence and onboard new assets
Coordinate insurance activities with internal and external stakeholders
Manage complex claims documentation,



correspondence, and advocacy
Audit programs, monitor exposures, and oversee risk surveys
Lead renewals, market submissions, strategy, and vendor management
Requirements: Bachelor’s degree and four to five years’ relevant experience
Risk management, compliance, insurance, or brokerage background
Strong Excel and PowerPoint technical skills
Project management, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities
Ability to travel between Canada and the United States
Bring Property and Casualty Insurance, risk analysis, and stakeholder coordination skills to Brookfield Energy’s global portfolio.
