Lead compliance and regulatory legal work for LG Electronics Canada as full time Legal Counsel, based at the North York office with hybrid work.
This position reports directly to the General Counsel and advises business units on legal risks affecting operations. Key areas include compliance programs, product safety, regulatory filings, privacy impact assessments, and internal policies. Candidates need an LL.B. or J.D., Law Society of Ontario membership, and five years of relevant experience. The successful candidate will monitor legal developments, report on compliance activities, and provide concise guidance across business functions.
Key Responsibilities: Manage legal compliance programs, policies, and training
Monitor and report internal compliance activities




Oversee product safety and regulatory matters
Track legal developments and emerging business risks
Support privacy impact assessments and information requests
Requirements: LL.B. or J.D. and Ontario licensing
Minimum five years of in-house or law firm experience
Experience with corporate and commercial matters
Ability to handle complex matters independently
Privacy or data governance experience is an asset
Use regulatory insight, compliance leadership, and privacy knowledge to advise LG business units from its North York hybrid office.
