Reporting to the Software Development Manager, this senior engineering role develops maintainable automation across API, component, integration, contract, and UI layers. You will improve application testability, diagnose failures, and guide developers and QA professionals. The work advances continuous testing across delivery.
Key Responsibilities: Design automated tests and maintain test frameworks across software layers
Apply architecture, diagnostics, code review, and source control practices
Integrate quality checks into Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines




Improve testability with developers and architects through effective layer selection
Resolve flaky, slow, and environmentally dependent automation failures
Requirements: Five or more years in development, automation, or quality engineering
Programming skills in C#, Java, TypeScript, or Python
Automated API, integration, and web application testing experience
Knowledge of software engineering, testing, debugging, and distributed systems
Degree in computing or equivalent skilled experience
Bring automation architecture, Azure DevOps, and debugging expertise to strengthen reliable software delivery at H&R; Block.
