Stantec seeks a Senior Electrical Engineer to oversee engineers delivering EMT studies for generation, transmission, and distribution systems. The work spans renewables, energy storage, HVDC, power electronics, and inverter-based resources. You will guide technical delivery while supporting clients, proposals, and business development. The position also contributes to strategic direction through current industry knowledge and technical organization participation.
Key Responsibilities: Lead EMT power-system studies and develop study methodologies
Prepare models, study cases, analyses, and technical reports




Report project progress and results directly to clients
Develop proposal methodologies, staffing requirements, and labor estimates
Mentor engineers and track simulation tools and techniques
Requirements: Expert EMT studies experience using PSCAD
Robust HVDC converter and power-electronic modeling background
Minimum 15 years as an electrical engineer
Understanding of North American systems and NERC TPL standards
MSc or PhD and P.Eng. or PE preferred
Bring expert PSCAD, HVDC, and inverter-based resource experience to Stantec’s power system studies team.
