The Human Resources Director oversees talent acquisition, onboarding, retention, and policy development. This full-time position supports performance management, labor and employment law compliance, compensation, benefits, and training programs. You will advise leaders, manage sensitive matters discreetly, and improve HR practices supporting staff and organizational effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities: Direct HR strategy and daily operational oversight
Develop and maintain values-aligned HR policies
Guide performance management and employee relations processes




Manage compensation, advantages, training, and development programs
Maintain accurate confidential HR documentation
Requirements: Expertise in strategic HR leadership and operations
Knowledge of Ontario labor and employment law
Experience resolving conflicts and coaching organizational leaders
Relevant post-secondary education in HR or related fields
CHRP or CHRL designation considered an asset
Bring strategic HR leadership, employee relations expertise, and Ontario compliance knowledge to Ottawa Salus’s supportive housing mission.
