Lead mechanical engineering for buildings from CIMA+’s Bowmanville or Mississauga office, applying HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection expertise to complex projects.
As a Lead Mechanical Engineer, you will support institutional, commercial, industrial, and transportation buildings. Your work includes decarbonization, deep retrofits, high energy efficiency, client relationships, and design leadership. You will guide projects from planning through construction completion.
Key Responsibilities: Liaise directly with clients and maintain business relationships
Prepare proposals, pricing, agreements, and responses to RFPs
Design or supervise institutional and commercial building projects
Manage project teams through design, tender, and construction administration




Mentor engineering staff and provide technical direction
Requirements: Mechanical engineering degree and Qualified Engineers Ontario P. Eng. license
Minimum 10 years’ mechanical buildings engineering experience
Expertise in HVAC, plumbing, and building services
Knowledge of Canadian codes, standards, and building automation systems
Working knowledge of AutoCAD, MicroStation, Revit, and load calculation software
Bring mechanical design leadership, client service, and building decarbonization expertise to CIMA+ projects across Canada.
