Coordinate structural design and BIM deliverables at Jacobs across Toronto, Ottawa, Burnaby, or Calgary with hybrid work available for this position.
As an Intermediate Structural Engineer, you will coordinate architects, engineers, and BIM/CAD designers while supporting wide-ranging facility projects. Your work will include drawings, technical specifications, analysis, calculations, reports, client meetings, contractor meetings, and construction administration. Strong communication and technical writing are essential.
Key Responsibilities: Coordinate structural designs through progressing project stages
Direct BIM/CAD designers through markups and technical guidance
Produce plans, elevations, sections, details, and specifications




Participate in client and contractor meetings
Review construction shop drawings and answer RFIs
Requirements: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Structural Engineering
Professional Engineer registration within Ontario
Three to eight years of applicable licensed experience
Building engineering design experience through construction
Experience with STAAD, RAM, SAP2000, ETABS, or Visual Analysis
Use structural engineering, BIM coordination, analysis software, and technical communication skills across Jacobs’ complex facility projects.
