SCADA controls expertise supports reliable operations across Northland’s North American wind, solar, and natural gas facilities. This role focuses on secure systems.
The SCADA Engineer, Operations provides subject-matter expertise throughout operating asset lifecycles. You will troubleshoot SCADA and DCS systems, deliver upgrades, support commissioning, and work with IT/OT cybersecurity teams. The position also coordinates vendors, maintains documentation, and improves control-system performance.
Key Responsibilities: Lead SCADA and control-system upgrade projects
Troubleshoot facility SCADA, DCS, telemetry, and historian systems
Support testing, commissioning, and facility turnover
Maintain standards, configurations, backups, and recovery procedures
Coordinate vendors, consultants,



contractors, and service providers
Requirements: Six or more years of SCADA or controls experience
Working knowledge of Modbus TCP, DNP3, OPC, and industrial networking
Experience troubleshooting complex industrial control-system issues
Experience delivering upgrades in operating industrial facilities
Bachelor’s degree and Canadian P.Eng. designation strongly preferred
