Manage complex mechanical projects for WSP in Northern Ontario, combining district energy, HVAC design, client engagement, and hybrid work.
As Lead Mechanical Engineer, you will oversee project performance while delivering heating, cooling, ventilation, central plant, and district energy solutions. Your responsibilities include technical evaluations, design calculations, equipment selection, and system sizing. You will collaborate with clients and multidisciplinary teams across multiple market sectors.
Key Responsibilities: Manage project scope, schedules, budgets, and client expectations
Lead mechanical engineering delivery for complex projects
Perform ventilation analyses and mechanical design calculations




Select equipment and size mechanical infrastructure systems
Ensure high-quality, code-compliant project delivery
Requirements: P.Eng. designation and active registration with PEO
Extensive HVAC, central plant, and district energy experience
Proficiency with AutoCAD and Revit documentation
Knowledge of Ontario Building Code, CSA, and ASHRAE standards
Ability to conduct site visits and field investigations
Apply project management, technical oversight, and district energy expertise to WSP’s mechanical engineering work across Ontario.
