Interac seeks a Senior Legal Counsel with at least eight years of post-call experience in corporate legal departments and law firms. You will advise on technology contracting, outsourcing, third-party risk, privacy, cybersecurity, and financial services regulations. The role supports time-sensitive projects while balancing legal imperatives, enterprise strategy, and risk tolerance. Experience with payment technologies and technology vendors is preferred.
Key Responsibilities: Provide strategic legal advice on business portfolios and emerging technologies
Draft, review, and negotiate diverse commercial technology contracts




Advise on contract operations in complex multi-vendor environments
Identify and resolve associated legal issues proactively
Mentor junior lawyers and develop internal legal precedents
Requirements: Law Degree and positive-standing Law Society of Ontario membership
At least eight years of practical post-call legal experience
Experience spanning corporate legal departments and law firms
Eligibility to work full-time for Interac Corp. in Canada
Knowledge of privacy, cybersecurity, CASL, and financial services requirements
