Perform diagnostic ultrasound services at Canmore General Hospital in Canmore, Alberta, supporting standardized and complex examinations. Work primarily Monday to Friday days, subject to department needs.

As a Diagnostic Sonographer I with Alberta Health Services, you will support Diagnostic Imaging workflows for inpatient, long-term care, outpatient, and emergency examinations. The position requires patient preparation, history review, procedure explanation, diagnostic-quality imaging, and initial action on abnormal findings. You may assist medical staff with special procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

- Perform standardized and complex ultrasound services
- Prepare patients and review relevant medical histories
- Explain procedures and obtain diagnostic-quality ultrasound images




- Take initial action when abnormal findings appear
- Assist Radiologists, Cardiologists, and Perinatologists when required

Requirements:

- Extended diploma from an accredited ultrasound program
- Active or eligible Alberta College registration
- Current Basic Cardiac Life Support certification
- Minimum two years of ultrasound experience
- Ability to work safely with patients and medical staff
