Job Overview

The Carpenter builds, installs, repairs, and restores structures and components using woodworking skills, hand tools, and power tools. The role involves interpreting blueprints and schematics, preparing materials, and completing work safely and accurately across varied construction tasks.

Responsibilities

- Read blueprints and schematics, measure work areas, and prepare materials for installation.
- Build and install framing, drywall, siding, and concrete forms; assist with concrete finishing and welding as project needs require.
- Perform restoration and carpentry repairs, select appropriate hand and power tools, and maintain an orderly work area.
- Lift and position materials and operate heavy equipment when needed, following safe work practices and coordinating tasks with the crew.

Qualifications

Required: Practical carpentry and woodworking skills,



blueprint and schematic reading, and safe use of hand and power tools support accurate construction, installation, and repair. The role also calls for physical ability to handle heavy lifting and sound judgment when working around equipment and materials. Preferred: Construction experience and familiarity with concrete forming and finishing, drywall, siding, restoration, welding, or heavy equipment operation are valuable. Pay: $18.00-$40.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30.0 – 45.0 per week
