NOW HIRING: HEAD COACH

Tier 2 Junior A Hockey

We are seeking a dedicated, experienced, and motivated Head Coach to lead our Tier 2 Junior A hockey program.

The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership, extensive hockey knowledge, and a commitment to player development, recruitment, and building a competitive team culture.

Key Responsibilities

- Plan, organize, and lead all team practices, games, and player development sessions.
- Maintain a consistent, full time presence at all scheduled team practices and activities.
- Actively recruit players to build and maintain a competitive roster.
- Scout and evaluate prospective players through games, showcases, tournaments, and other recruitment opportunities.
- Conduct regular game film analysis and video review sessions with players to evaluate team and individual performance.
- Utilize video analysis to identify areas for improvement, develop strategies, and prepare for upcoming opponents.
- Develop and implement effective team systems, strategies, and game plans.
- Evaluate player performance and provide constructive feedback to support individual development.
- Collaborate with hockey operations and management on recruitment, roster decisions, trades, and player advancement.
- Establish and maintain high standards of discipline, accountability, teamwork, and professionalism.
- Mentor athletes and support their development both on and off the ice.
- Foster a positive, competitive, and development-focused team environment.

Qualifications

- Previous coaching experience at the Junior A, Junior B, U18 AAA, collegiate, or comparable competitive level preferred.
- Strong understanding of hockey systems, player development, and competitive game management.
- Experience conducting game film analysis and utilizing video review as a coaching and player development tool.
- Demonstrated ability to recruit, evaluate, and develop hockey players.




- Established connections within the junior and minor hockey communities considered a strong asset.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to motivate young athletes while maintaining high expectations and accountability.
- Availability to attend all scheduled practices, games, and required team activities.
- Willingness to complete all required certifications and background screening.

We are looking for a committed, hands-on leader who understands that building a successful Junior A program goes beyond coaching games.

The successful candidate will take an active role in recruiting talent, developing players, utilizing video analysis, and working alongside management to build a competitive and respected hockey organization.

Compensation: Based on experience and qualifications

Pay: $1,000.00-$3,000.00 per month
