Draftsperson

Produce Architectural shop drawings for various projects in a timely and efficient manner to meet schedules. Is accountable for ALL facets of the project drawings to ensure accurate reproduction of systems and detailing for submittal procedures and field use.

General List of duties:

- Must have Architectural drafting experience.

- Must have experience in SolidWorks or Autodesk Inventor.

- Must have experience in sheet metal drafting.

- Must be able to draft 3D drawings without issues.

- Review project scope(s), schedule etc. with estimating/operations manager.

- Review tender vs IFC drawings and bring fourth discrepancies if necessary.

- Review quotations, estimates and take offs to ensure all shop drawings properly reflect what has is included in the contract.

- maintain company shop drawing standards.

- Communicate with Operations manager to establish priorities/schedules of drawing submittals, Engineering requirements and field packages.

- Review cut lists or layouts as required and ensure all information is transferred accurately to shop drawings for field use.

- Review unfamiliar details, materials,



suppliers, etc. with Operations Manager or other Custom Metal employees who may have experience with those items including non-standard flashing and panel details prior to implementing.

- Communicate with Operations Manager on a daily basis to provide general update on project drawings status.

- Maintain files, drawings and work space in a clean and orderly manner

- Maintain drawing racks and filing cabinets by removing completed projects and making room for new projects coming in.

- Maintaining computer lists for boxes (closed files) and tubes (closed Engineered shop drawings).

- Provide back up support in the division as required to assist in all aspects of the division.
