We are currently recruiting for a compassionate and reliable Overnight Personal Support Worker to support two female employers living with Cerebral Palsy with all activities of daily living.

The employers are two adult females, who live together in their own ground floor suite that love cooking, baking, arts and crafts and music.

Location:

- Nanaimo (Near Buy Low Foods by Fifth Street)

Shifts & Hours of Work:

- Overnight shifts from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m.
- Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday

Compensation:

- $20 per hour

Responsibilities will include (but may not be limited to):

- Getting ready to bed - bedtime routine
- Support worker is able to sleep during their shift in the front room
- Able to wake up as needed during the night to attend/check on their positioning in bed.
- Able to support with incontinence change when needed during the night
- checking and adjustments for sleep apnea mask when needed
- Checking blood sugar levels and attend when needed - training will be provided
- Getting up during the night to go to the washroom and/or have bedding adjusted as needed

Required Qualifications:

- 1 year of caregiving experience is preferred
- Driver’s License (Class 5) and a reliable vehicle for ease of transit - required




- Must be comfortable working in an workplace with dogs
- Physically fit to perform ceiling lift transfers
- Fully Vaccinated
