Drafter (Hybrid) - Rosenort, MB

Our client is looking for a Drafter to contribute to creative projects in the manufacturing of stainless-steel products. Our client is currently looking for a Drafter to support their manufacturing operations in Rosenort, MB. The role involves creating detailed technical drawings and 3D models for stainless steel products, managing custom design projects, and ensuring all documentation aligns with client specifications and production requirements.

This role is located in Rosenort, MB - just 30 minutes south of Winnipeg.

This is a hybrid position with three days per week working from the Rosenort, MB office. This is a term role with the potential for conversion to permanent employment.

Responsibilities:

- Produce and update detailed technical drawings and 3D models for stainless steel products using industry-standard software.
- Manage custom design projects, ensuring alignment with client specifications and production capabilities.
- Prepare and maintain accurate bills of materials (BOMs) for all projects, including revisions and updates.
- Utilize enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems to document design changes, track production progress, and manage material orders.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to integrate custom designs into manufacturing workflows.
- Provide technical guidance and revisions for ongoing projects to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
- Organize and analyze project data using advanced Excel skills,



including spreadsheets, formulas, and reporting tools.
- Assist in resolving design and production challenges through clear communication and problem-solving.
- Maintain organized records of drawings, BOMs, ERP entries, and project communications.
- Communicate directly with clients to clarify requirements, provide updates, and address technical inquiries.

Qualifications:

- Diploma/certification in Mechanical Drafting, Engineering Technology, or a related discipline is preferred.
- 3+ years of experience in a drafting or design role.
- Experience in SolidWorks or similar CAD software.
- Strong proficiency in creating and managing technical drawings, 3D models, and assembly schematics.
- Experience working with ERP systems to document and track manufacturing processes.
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel, including data analysis, pivot tables, and report generation.
- Familiarity with stainless steel or metal fabrication processes is considered an asset.
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.

Pay: $55,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
