We are seeking an experienced Payroll and Benefits Specialist for a direct hire opportunity in Scarborough, ON within the healthcare services industry. The Payroll and Benefits Specialist will manage full-cycle payroll and benefits administration for employees across Canada and the United States, using Ceridian Dayforce and other HRIS platforms to maintain data integrity, process payroll, support audits, and resolve employee inquiries.

Compensation and Benefits

- Salary range:



$75,000 to $90,000 per year.
- Direct hire opportunity.

Key Responsibilities

- Process and administer full-cycle payroll for employees across Canada and the United States, including biweekly, semi-monthly, or other scheduled pay cycles.
- Maintain accurate payroll records and ensure compliance with federal, provincial, state, and local payroll legislation.
- Manage payroll adjustments, new hires, terminations, employee changes, vacation pay, bonuses, deductions, taxes, statutory withholdings, and benefits contributions.
- Reconcile payroll reports, investigate discrepancies, resolve payroll issues, and support year-end activities including T4 preparation and required reporting.
- Administer Canadian and US employee benefits programs, including enrolments, changes, terminations, eligibility, renewals, plan updates, and employee communications.
- Maintain accurate employee data in Ceridian Dayforce and other HRIS systems, generate reports, and support audits and reconciliations.
