We are seeking an accomplished, CPA-designated Controller to join a growing software technology organization in a fully remote capacity based in Toronto. This is a strategic and hands-on finance leadership opportunity for a seasoned accounting professional with a strong technical accounting foundation, Big 4 public accounting experience, and a proven track record working within a publicly traded organization.

The successful candidate will bring extensive multi-jurisdictional financial reporting experience, strong knowledge of complex accounting standards, and the ability to oversee financial operations across multiple entities and international markets. This individual will play a key role in strengthening financial controls, supporting regulatory compliance, and driving scalable financial processes within a energetic technology environment.

Key Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting & Accounting Oversee the preparation and accuracy of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
Lead the financial close process, ensuring timely and accurate reporting across multiple entities and jurisdictions.
Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, including IFRS and/or US GAAP.
Manage complex accounting matters, including revenue recognition, foreign currency transactions, intercompany accounting, and consolidation.




Maintain the integrity of the general ledger, balance sheet reconciliations, and financial reporting processes.
Public Company Reporting & Compliance Support public company financial reporting requirements, including quarterly and annual reporting.
Partner with internal stakeholders to support regulatory filings, audit requirements, and disclosure controls.
Maintain and enhance internal controls, accounting policies, and financial governance frameworks. Coordinate external audits and liaise with auditors, tax advisors, and other external stakeholders. Ensure compliance with financial regulations and statutory reporting requirements across multiple jurisdictions.
Multi-Jurisdictional Finance Operations Oversee accounting and reporting activities across multiple legal entities and international jurisdictions.
Manage intercompany transactions, consolidations, and foreign currency accounting.
Ensure compliance with local statutory, tax, and financial reporting requirements. Standardize accounting processes and implement best practices across international operations.
Leadership & Process Improvement Lead and develop accounting and finance team members. Support the implementation and optimization of financial systems, reporting tools, and automation initiatives.
Collaborate with executive leadership and cross-functional teams to support strategic business objectives. Provide financial insights and analysis to support business growth and decision-making.
