Job Summary

The Pharmacy Assistant supports pharmacists and pharmacy technicians in providing safe, organized, and timely pharmacy services. The role helps maintain accurate medication records, prepare and organize supplies, and support patient care while following privacy, safety, and pharmacy procedures. Hospital experience and pharmacy technician experience are welcome.

Duties

- Assist with receiving, organizing, and stocking medications and pharmacy supplies.
- Help maintain accurate inventory, records, and documentation under the direction of pharmacy staff.
- Support prescription and medication workflows by preparing materials and completing assigned non-licensed tasks.
- Communicate courteously with patients and healthcare team members, directing clinical questions to a pharmacist or other qualified qualified.
- Use medical terminology appropriately when handling pharmacy records and communicating with staff.
- Follow established procedures for medication storage, handling, and safety.




- Support patient care by helping ensure pharmacy areas and supplies are organized and ready for use.
- Assist with medication administration-related tasks only when authorized, trained, and permitted by applicable policies and regulations.
- Maintain confidentiality and comply with workplace, infection-control, and safety requirements.

Qualifications

- Strong attention to detail, organization, and reliability.
- Clear communication and a respectful, patient-focused approach.
- Ability to follow instructions, protect confidential information, and work collaboratively with pharmacy and healthcare staff.
- Familiarity with medical terminology is preferred.
- Hospital experience and pharmacy technician experience are preferred but not required.
- Experience supporting patient care or medication administration is helpful; any medication-related duties must remain within the role’s training, authorization, and applicable regulations.

Pay: From $19.00 per hour
