Overview

The Welder/Fabricator performs welding, cutting, machining, and assembly work to produce and prepare fabricated components. The role uses drawings, tools, and shop equipment to complete work accurately and support safe, coordinated manufacturing operations.

Duties

- Read blueprints and schematics, take measurements with calipers, and use basic math to plan and verify work.
- Perform MIG and TIG welding, plasma cutting, machining, and assembly using hand tools and power tools.
- Operate a press brake machine and support material movement using cranes, forklifts, and rigging practices.
- Fabricate and install components for manufacturing, or construction projects, following applicable work procedures.

Experience

Required: Practical welding and fabrication capabilities, blueprint reading, mechanical knowledge, measurement skills, and protected use of relevant tools and equipment support the duties. Basic math and the ability to interpret schematics help ensure accurate work. Preferred: Construction experience and familiarity with manufacturing, machining, press brake machines, plasma cutting, MIG and TIG welding, rigging, cranes, forklifts, and assembly are valuable strengths.
