RISE is currently looking for a Field Technician to join our team. This position will be based out of Grande Prairie or Red Deer and will require travel.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

- Thorough knowledge of all RISE available tools, their specifications, uses and all RISE services
- Customer relations and field sales – internal and external
- Make up and break down of tool strings
- Milling operations, plug setting, and fishing
- General shop duties including maintenance, cleaning, organizing, assist in inventory control and tracking and redressing
- Job organization and load out
- Helping to ensure the correct tools are going to each job and that the appropriate equipment is going to your job
- Occasional pick up and drop off of tools in the Western Canadian area
- Continue training to expand knowledge and experience of thru-tubing services
- Assist in training of thru-tubing trainees when required
- Prepare and keep accurate paperwork on delivery tickets, job reports, time sheets and other similar administrative forms
- Keep accurate paperwork of operations/tools run in hole
- Determine the need and use of equipment when on a job
- Advise customer on the proper procedures to perform a thru-tubing operation and provide instruction on proper procedures and supervise the operation




- Must attend all thru-tubing related RISE technical training
- Required to work on an 24 hours call basis
- Work assignments carried out to the highest quality level
- Must understand and comply with all safety rules and company policies of RISE
- Perform various other duties assigned by supervisor within the physical constraints of the job

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities:

- Proper use of PPE (training provided).
- Communication and ability to work in a team environment and on your own.
- Understand and perform work following instructions and safe operating procedures.
- Excellent Organization, time management skills.

Qualifications / Education / Experience:

- Clean class 5 driver’s license.

- Must possess valid H2S and First Aid.
- CSO is preferred.
- Experience in thru tubing/downhole tools would be an asset.
