Food Production/Packaging Associate

Job Overview
We are seeking reliable and hardworking Food Production Associates to join a food manufacturing facility that prepares beans, quinoa, and rice. Products are cooked, packaged, and flash-frozen before being shipped to customers.

This is a long-term temporary opportunity for individuals who are looking for consistent work and are comfortable working in a food production environment.

Pay: $18.00 per hour

Shift Options

- Day Shift: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
- Afternoon Shift: 4:00 PM – 1:30 AM
- Shifts are fixed and do not rotate.
- Employees must be willing to work overtime on Saturdays or Sundays when additional support is needed during busy periods.

Job Duties

- Package and weigh beans and quinoa according to production requirements.
- Load boxes of finished product onto skids/pallets.
- Use large scoops or approved tools to break apart frozen beans and rice when necessary.
- Follow production, food-safety, sanitation, and quality procedures.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Perform physical tasks safely and efficiently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Lift products and materials weighing up to 50 lbs. as needed.

Work Setting

This is a wet/damp food manufacturing facility. Employees will work in areas with varying temperatures:

- Some areas are cold because products are being frozen.
- Other areas are hot because food is being cooked.
- Employees must be comfortable working in a damp environment and moving between areas with different temperatures.

Qualifications

- Must be able to speak and understand English.
- Must be able to read English and follow written instructions.
- Previous food manufacturing or food production experience is preferred.
- Must have a positive attitude and strong work ethic.
- Must be looking for long-term work.




- Must be comfortable working in a wet/damp environment and varying temperatures.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. as needed.
- Must be willing to follow all food-safety, sanitation, PPE, and workplace policies.
- Employees must be able to properly wear required hair and beard restraints. Long beards that cannot be fully contained by the required beard net may not be suitable for this position.

PPE & Dress Requirements

- Safety boots are required.
- After completing 90 shifts, employees will receive a voucher for rubber safety boots.
- Employees may wear regular pants and a shirt.
- Some employees wear a light jacket and then put the company-provided lab coat over it when entering the production floor.
- Standard food-production hygiene requirements apply:
- No makeup
- No jewelry or earrings
- No nail polish
- No fake or artificial nails
- No fake or artificial eyelashes
- Required hair/beard restraints must be worn properly

Cell Phone Policy
Cell phones are NOT permitted on the production floor at any time. Employees must leave their phones in the designated area and cannot carry or use them while working in production areas.

Employment Type
These are long-term temporary positions. The company is open to associates remaining in a temporary capacity for the long term and understands that not every associate may be interested in permanent employment.
