Job Overview

Not just a forklift job. We’re looking for a shipper/receiver who thinks ahead, follows the system, and takes pride in getting it right. The Shipper/Receiver Associate and Forklift Operator moves customer parts and materials through our powder coating operation, from receiving and staging to packaging and shipping finished parts. This hands-on role involves accurate order handling, safe material movement, and transparent coordination with colleagues to keep coated parts flowing back to customers on time and damage-free.

Responsibilities

- Receive, verify, label, and document incoming customer parts and vendor materials; prepare outgoing orders of finished parts through picking, protective packaging, and shipping.
- Operate a forklift or pump truck to load, unload, and move parts and materials.
- Use our inventory/ERP computer system and related tools to track parts, process orders, and keep accurate records in line with our ISO 9001 QMS procedures.
- Your impact: Accurate, timely handling keeps customer parts traceable and gets finished orders out the door on time and in perfect condition.

Required Skills

- Ability to follow established systems and procedures consistently, along with practical shipping and receiving,
- Detail-oriented, with strong communication skills for sharing information clearly with colleagues, supervisors, senior leadership, and customers.




- Able to read and follow documents and work instructions to pick, package, load, and unload orders accurately.
- Basic computer and math skills
- Safe forklift operation skills.

Required Qualifications

- 2+ years of shipping and receiving experience in a manufacturing or warehouse setting.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid forklift certification, or able to get certified within 30 days.
- Able to read and follow work orders, packing slips, BOLs, and written procedures.
- Basic computer skills: inventory or ERP system, email, and carrier websites.
- Detail-oriented, with clear communication.
- Able to lift 50 lbs and work on your feet in a shop environment.
- Safety Shoes

Pay: From $24.00 per hour

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Etobicoke, ON M9W 5T9: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)

Experience:

- Shipping & receiving: 3 years (required)
- Computer literacy: 3 years (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Forklift Licence (required)
