We are a state of the art facility who has been a staple in the Oakville area for over 15 years. We are seeking a kind, organized, dedicated and skilled Level II Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice! We are a close-kit team, having all worked with Dr. Mark and together for many years :)

The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care while assisting the dentist during various procedures. This position requires a robust understanding of dental practices and procedures, as well as excellent interpersonal skills to ensure a positive experience for our patients.

Hours:

Monday: 9 am - 6 pm

Tuesday - Thursday: 8 am - 5 pm

Fridays: 8 am - 12 pm

Sat: 1x/month (Friday's are closed, the one week we work on a Saturday)

Responsibilities

- Assist the dentist during examinations and treatments, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are prepared and available.
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed.
- Provide support to patients by explaining procedures, answering questions, and ensuring their comfort throughout their visit.
- Maintain accurate patient records, using ABELdent dental software.




- Sterilize instruments and maintain cleanliness in the dental operatory and other areas of the practice.
- Manage patient flow efficiently, acting as a liaison between the dentist and patients.
- Assist with procedures when necessary, demonstrating knowledge of general practices.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure smooth operations within the practice.

Experience

- Previous experience in dental assisting is preferred, with familiarity in areas such as general dentistry, as well as surgical procedures, being a plus.
- Proficiency in using ABELdent dental software is highly desirable.
- Understanding of medical terminology related to dentistry is beneficial.
- Level II Dental Assistant certification, as well as HARP certification is required.
