Neegan Development is currently seeking a positive, organized, and detail-oriented individual to fill the position of Service Writer. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating service and repair activities, communicating with customers and internal departments, and ensuring all maintenance work is properly documented and completed in an efficient and timely manner.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

- Communicate with customers regarding equipment repairs, service estimates, approvals, and anticipated completion timelines.

- Coordinate with technicians, the Maintenance Manager, and the Parts Department to ensure service and repair work progresses efficiently.

- Prepare quotes, work orders, and invoices, ensuring labour, parts, and outside service charges are accurately recorded.

- Maintain accurate equipment service records, maintenance histories, and repair documentation.

- Assist with warranty claims and ensure all required supporting documentation is completed.

- Schedule service appointments and coordinate equipment servicing and repairs.

- Monitor outstanding work orders and follow up to ensure timely completion.





- Provide updates to customers and internal departments regarding service progress and repair requirements.

- Perform general administrative duties and provide support to the maintenance department as required.

Qualifications and Requirements:

- Previous experience in a Service Writer, Service Advisor, or Service Coordinator role is preferred.

- Knowledge of heavy equipment, trucks, and related mechanical systems.

- Strong communication, organizational, and computer skills.

- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a busy service workplace.

- Experience with work order systems or dealership management software is considered an asset.

- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
