Riverbend Cleaners is a family-owned drycleaner serving Edmonton since 2020. Our customers trust us with their suits, dresses, uniforms and everyday favourites. We take pride in careful work, friendly service and getting it right the first time. We're looking for a skilled, dependable presser to help our garments leave the shop looking their best.

The Role

As a Presser, you'll give every garment its final finish before it goes back to the customer. You'll press shirts, pants, suits, dresses and delicate items to a crisp, professional standard, working quickly without cutting corners. Pressing experience is preferred, but we'll train the right person who has a steady hand and an eye for detail.

What You'll Do

- Press and finish dry-cleaned and laundered garments using steam presses, utility and legger presses, form finishers (dummies) and hand irons
- Press pants, jackets, suits, skirts, dresses, coats and shirts to a sharp, wrinkle-free finish with crisp creases and pleats
- Hand-finish delicate fabrics such as silk, wool, linen and beaded or embellished garments
- Read care labels and adjust heat, steam and pressure to suit each fabric
- Inspect garments after pressing and send back any items with remaining stains, shine marks or damage
- Hang, bag and tag finished garments neatly and accurately for pickup
- Meet daily production targets so orders are ready on time




- Keep pressing stations clean and safe, and report any equipment issues

What We're Looking For

- A keen eye for detail and pride in a clean, professional finish
- Ability to work at a steady pace and meet production targets
- Reliability and punctuality. Our customers count on their orders being ready on time.
- Ability to stand for a full shift, work in a hot workplace, and repeat lifting and arm motions
- Comfortable working with hot, steam-powered equipment safely
- Basic English communication skills
- Must be legally eligible to work in Canada
- 1+ year of pressing experience at a dry cleaner, laundry, garment manufacturer or tailor
- Experience with silk, wool and other delicate fabrics
- Experience with shirt units, leggers or form finishers
