The Electronics Specialist provides preventive and corrective maintenance for postal equipment and associated electromechanical and electrical systems.

The work includes reading schematics, diagnosing failures, using computer diagnostics, and supporting safe equipment operation.

Candidates need a two-year electronics program and relevant recent experience.

Key Responsibilities:

- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on postal equipment
- Troubleshoot, test, repair, clean, lubricate, and adjust systems
- Investigate equipment failures and recommend remedial action




- Maintain work documentation in the computerized maintenance system
- Advise Operations personnel on safe equipment procedures

Requirements:

- Complete a two-year post-secondary electronics program
- Have two years’ recent electronic systems maintenance experience
- Understand electronic, mechanical, and electromechanical systems
- Read schematics, drawings, wiring diagrams, and specifications
- Lift equipment and work in cramped spaces or heights
