Job Summary

The Maintenance Worker is responsible for ensuring the hotel building, guest rooms, public areas, equipment, and systems are maintained in a safe, clean, and fully operational condition. The role supports guest satisfaction by responding promptly to maintenance requests and performing preventive maintenance throughout the property.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform routine maintenance and repairs in guest rooms and public areas.
- Respond promptly to guest maintenance requests and service calls.
- Conduct preventive maintenance on HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.
- Repair and replace light fixtures, faucets, door hardware, locks, furniture, drywall, and flooring as needed.
- Maintain swimming pool, hot tub, and related equipment (if applicable).
- Complete daily inspections of hotel facilities and equipment.
- Assist with seasonal maintenance, including snow removal and grounds upkeep.
- Monitor and maintain life safety systems, including fire alarm and emergency lighting systems.
- Ensure all maintenance activities comply with Hyatt standards and local safety regulations.
- Coordinate with external contractors and vendors when required.




- Maintain accurate maintenance logs, work orders, and inventory records.
- Support room renovation and capital improvement projects as assigned.
- Participate in emergency response procedures and after-hours maintenance support when required.

Qualifications

- Previous experience in hotel maintenance, building maintenance, or a related trade preferred.
- Knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, painting, and carpentry.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve maintenance issues independently.
- Basic computer skills for work order and maintenance tracking systems.
- Solid customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs (23 kg) and perform physically demanding tasks.
- Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Pay: From $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 16.0 – 20.0 per week
