Summary

We are seeking a full-time Reach Truck Picker. The Reach Truck Picker plays a critical role in the daily operations of the Ecom Fulfillment Center. This position is focused on the secure and accurate operation of a reach truck to pick, put away, and replenish inventory across high-bay racking. The Reach Truck Picker must hold a valid reach truck certification and demonstrate a consistent commitment to safety, accuracy, and productivity in a fast-paced fulfillment environment.

Responsibilities

1. Reach Truck Operation

- Operate a stand-up reach truck to pick, putaway, and relocate inventory in high-bay racking at elevated heights

- Execute WMS-directed pick tasks accurately and efficiently, scanning all locations and license plates as required

- Perform replenishment picks from reserve locations to active pick faces to maintain order fulfillment flow

- Conduct putaway of inbound inventory to assigned reserve locations per WMS direction

- Relocate pallets and product between locations as directed by supervisors or WMS system tasks

- Perform daily pre-shift and post-shift equipment inspections and report any defects or concerns immediately

2. Order Picking and Accuracy

- Pick orders accurately based on WMS-directed tasks, ensuring correct SKU, quantity, and location at all times

- Handle product carefully to prevent damage during picking and transport across the warehouse floor

- Stage completed picks in designated outbound areas by carrier, client, or order batch

- Support ground-level picking using electric pallet trucks or manual means when reach truck is not required

- Meet or exceed daily picking productivity and accuracy targets as set by the operations team

3. Inventory Integrity

- Maintain location accuracy by confirming correct put locations and reporting any discrepancies to the supervisor

- Participate in scheduled cycle counts, location audits, and physical inventory checks as assigned





- Identify and report damaged, mislocated, or unscannable product to the inventory or supervisory team

- Ensure product is stored safely in racking with no overhanging, unsecured, or improperly wrapped pallets

4. Safety and Housekeeping

- Operate the reach truck in full compliance with Ecom Fulfillment safety protocols and certification requirements

- Maintain clear and safe travel aisles at all times - no obstruction of pedestrian or MHE pathways

- Wear all required PPE at all times including safety footwear, high-visibility vest, and site-specific requirements

- Report all near-misses, incidents, or unsafe conditions to the supervisor immediately

- Keep the reach truck, charging bay, and assigned work areas clean and organized at the end of every shift

Qualifications

Must Have

- Valid reach truck certification (in-house or recognized third party)

- Minimum 6 months hands-on reach truck operation in a warehouse or DC

- Demonstrated commitment to safety - zero tolerance for unsafe MHE operation

- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and comfortable standing / operating equipment for a full shift

- Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented with strong attention to detail

- Comfortable using handheld RF scanners and reading WMS task screens

Nice to Have

- Order picker or counterbalance forklift certification

- Experience in a high-volume e-commerce fulfillment or 3PL environment

- Familiarity with WMS software (Logiwa, ShipHero, or similar)

- Experience with Amazon FBA preparation or omnichannel fulfillment operations

- Knowledge of carrier requirements (UPS, FedEx, Purolator, Canpar)

- Bilingual (English / French) is an asset

PHYSICAL & WORKING CONDITIONS

- Continuous operation of a stand-up reach truck throughout the shift - prolonged standing and balancing required





- Frequent lifting, carrying, and manual handling of product up to 50 lbs

- Work performed at height within high-bay racking - adherence to safety protocols is mandatory at all times

- Warehouse environment with temperatures that may vary seasonally

- Operation of MHE in shared pedestrian and vehicle spaces - constant situational awareness required

- Use of PPE including safety footwear, high-visibility vest, and any additional site-required protection

- Fast-paced environment with daily pick accuracy and productivity targets

Pay Transparency

The starting hourly pay for this role is $19 CAD.
