The volunteers healthcare placement role supports organized, respectful service in a healthcare setting. The placement offers an chance to contribute to patient care, assist healthcare colleagues, and build practical familiarity with everyday care environments while communicating clearly with patients and staff.

Duties

- Support patient care activities within the placement’s assigned responsibilities and follow direction from healthcare staff.
- Help organize information and routine tasks, using computer operation and Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel as appropriate.
- Communicate courteously in English and French when able, and assist with customer service and clear information sharing.
- Use time management and organizational skills to help colleagues maintain smooth, attentive service.

Experience

Required: Practical communication, computer, time-management, and organizational skills support dependable assistance; familiarity with patient care and medical terminology helps you follow instructions and share information accurately. Preferred: Acute care experience, nursing knowledge, medication administration familiarity, bilingual ability in English and French, and experience using Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel can strengthen your contribution.

Pay: $18.00-$20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 12.0 – 20.0 per week
