Maurice Mechanical Services Ltd. is a leading designer and manufacturer of automated assembly equipment for clients in the automotive industry and beyond. MMSL has been building automated equipment in Penetanguishene for over 35 years. We are currently searching for an Electrical Designer / Panel Builder to join our team on a full-time permanent basis.
The Electrical Designer position involves electrical panel design, panel wiring, equipment wiring as well as aiding in the procurement of electrical components. On site work at our customers facilities may also be required to subsequently start-up & commission related automation.
The applicants would posses a diploma or certificate in an Electrical or Electronics program.
Ideal candidates will be honest, cooperative, adaptive, autonomous, pay attention to detail, possess a strong problem-solving attitude, be self-motivated, energetic, take responsibility for the projects they are assigned, are analytical, and ready to do what it takes to get the job done.
The ability to travel and to maintain composure in demanding production environments are key attributes that are required.
Skills required:
· Able to use Solidworks Electrical or AutoCAD Electrical Software effectively
· Read technical drawings, understand and trouble shoot Electrical problems
· Solid understanding of machinery safety principles
· Ability to effectively communicate with others· Personal tools required.
· Provides technical support to Programming in the start-up and in-house testing of equipment.
· May need to assist Shipping & Receiving in loading/unloading where necessary.
· Have and maintain a valid passport / drivers license and able to travel
