Overview

The Ticketed Heavy Duty Mechanic performs maintenance, inspection, assembly, and repair work on heavy equipment and industrial machinery. The role uses mechanical knowledge and practical diagnostic skills to help keep equipment secure, reliable, and ready for use.

Duties

- Inspect, maintain, and repair heavy equipment, including excavators, cranes, forklifts, Caterpillar machinery, and farm machinery.
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues using schematics, hand tools, and power tools; complete repairs, assembly, and welding as appropriate.
- Support equipment operation and maintenance, including HVAC systems and automotive repair tasks where relevant, and safely handle heavy components.
- Provide courteous customer service and communicate repair findings and equipment needs clearly.

Qualifications

Required: Practical mechanical knowledge and the ability to use hand and power tools, interpret schematics, perform maintenance, and safely manage heavy lifting and equipment operation. Clear communication supports effective customer service and coordination with colleagues.
Preferred: Mechanic experience, including electrical work, welding, assembly, automotive repair, or HVAC, is valuable. Dealership experience and familiarity with excavators, cranes, Caterpillar equipment, forklifts, farm machinery, or other industrial equipment are advantageous.

Pay: $45.00-$54.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 – 160.0 per week
