We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Ontario Certified Teacher to inspire and support high school students. The successful candidate will have solid experience teaching math, create engaging lesson plans, foster a positive classroom environment, and support each student’s academic growth.

Responsibilities

- Design and deliver age-appropriate math and English lessons that support students’ learning goals and align with relevant curriculum expectations
- Create a nurturing classroom environment that encourages curiosity, creativity, confidence, and respect
- Assess student progress regularly and provide constructive feedback to support individual learning needs
- Adapt teaching strategies to accommodate different learning styles and support students with special education needs
- Organize learning materials, track attendance, and communicate effectively with students and parents using learning management systems (LMS)
- Maintain accurate records of lesson plans, student assessments, and classroom activities




- Collaborate with colleagues to develop effective teaching strategies and participate in professional development opportunities

Qualifications

- Current Ontario College of Teachers (OCT) certification and membership in good standing
- At least two years of teaching or tutoring experience, with demonstrated experience teaching in math
- Experience working with children in educational or tutoring settings; classroom experience is an asset
- Strong knowledge of math and English instruction for young learners
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain concepts clearly and engage students
- Ability to review and proofread educational materials for accuracy and clarity
- Familiarity with LMS platforms and digital tools for organizing coursework and student information
- Experience supporting students with special education needs is an asset
- A patient, adaptable, and enthusiastic approach, with a commitment to creating a positive learning environment

Pay: $30.00-$45.00 per hour
