THE ROLE

You will make sure what happens on the floor matches what is in our system, and that what ships gets invoiced. This is an on-site role split between the office and the plant, reporting to the Director. We will teach you the business, and the role can grow as you do.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

- Inventory: run counts on the floor and fix differences between the floor and the system

- Shipping: prepare shipments and packing slips, and coordinate ASNs (advance shipping notices) with customers

- Production data: check that run data is complete and accurate, and investigate any variances

- Scrap: do scrap checks and counts, and keep the numbers reconciled

- Scheduling: keep the production schedule up to date and work with the production team on changes

- Invoicing: prepare invoices and make sure everything is done timely, working with our bookkeeper

- Systems: check that the team is following our processes, and help fix things when they are not

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR





- About 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, in operations, inventory, production planning, cost accounting or similar

- Strong computer skills: comfortable in an ERP system and Excel, and quick to learn recent tools, including AI tools

- A working understanding of basic finance and accounting

- Comfortable on a loud plant floor in safety gear, and able to speak up when something does not add up

- Organized and detail-focused, with a habit of following things through to the end

- Strong communication skills, comfortable asking questions until you understand something to the point where you can explain it, and able to investigate right down to the core issue to actual solve problems

NICE TO HAVE

- Odoo, M365, QBO experience

- Experience in the automotive or steel industry

- Mechanical inclination and interest

- Accounting, business or supply chain education

OUR HIRING PROCESS

Shortlisted candidates will complete a short, paid practical exercise using sample data from a real manufacturing situation.

Pay: $55,000.00-$65,000.00 per year
