Staff Plus is currently recruiting Machine Operators on behalf of our client, a well-established manufacturing facility in Burlington, Ontario.

We are seeking reliable, safety-conscious, and motivated individuals to join the production team in several specialized machine operator roles. These are dynamic 3-month contract opportunities for candidates looking to gain valuable experience in a manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

Machine Operation & Monitoring

- Set up, operate, monitor, and adjust specialized production machinery in accordance with established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Ensure equipment operates efficiently while meeting daily production targets.
- Monitor machine performance and promptly report any operational concerns.

Specialized Process & Thermal Control

- Monitor control panels, temperatures, pressures, and thermal cycles, particularly in furnace, amorphous, and forming operations.
- Ensure materials are handled and processed according to established procedures.
- Identify and report any mechanical issues or process irregularities.

Quality Control & Inspection

- Perform routine visual and physical inspections of raw materials and finished products.
- Identify defects and ensure products meet required quality standards.




- Maintain accurate production records and documentation.

Troubleshooting & Equipment Maintenance

- Perform minor machine adjustments and basic troubleshooting as required.
- Safely clear equipment jams and reset machinery when necessary.
- Work closely with maintenance personnel to address equipment malfunctions and major repairs.

Requirements & Qualifications

- Previous experience in manufacturing, machine operation, or an industrial environment is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety.
- Ability to follow instructions, procedures, and production guidelines.
- Good problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Must be flexible and available to work a continental rotating 12-hour shift schedule.

Continental Rotating 12-Hour Shifts

- Day shifts: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
- Night shifts: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
- Rotation between days and nights every two weeks.

Pay: $25.00-$30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 36.0 – 48.0 per week
