Job Summary

The Journeyman Heavy Duty Mechanic inspects, maintains, and repairs on highway tractors/trailers/body jobs using mechanical knowledge, computer diagnostics and schematics. The role supports safe, dependable equipment operation through careful troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance. Work week is Monday through Friday dayshift, no evenings or weekends required.

Responsibilities

- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and HVAC issues; complete maintenance and repairs as required.
- Computer diagnostics and repairs on CAT, Cummins and IHC engines.
- Repair electrical systems and components.
- Suspension repairs as required.
- Brake repairs as required.
- CVIP inspection repairs.

Experience

Required: Practical mechanical knowledge, safe use of hand and power tools,



and the ability to perform maintenance, interpret schematics, and troubleshoot equipment. Clear communication skills support effective coordination and repair updates.

Preferred: Experience with Cummins Insite and J-Pro diagnostic equipment. Engine rebuild experience and CVIP inspection license welcome. Qualified applicants will be contacted for an interview.

Pay: $42.00-$48.00 per hour
